RAPID RE-HOUSING IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ONE-TIME SECURITY DEPOSITS AND ONGOING RENTAL ASSISTANCE.

Rapid Re-Housing is part of a federally-funded effort to reduce homelessness across the nation. Through financial assistance and supportive services, Rapid Re-Housing assists homeless families and individuals in becoming stably housed and financially self-sufficient.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • Literally homeless* at the time of intake.
  • Willing to engage in regular case management.
  • Resident(s) of Sonoma County.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Rapid Re-Housing offers financial assistance to those needing a one-time security deposit or short to medium-term rental assistance (which may also include a security deposit):

  • One-Time Security Deposit--Participants must have located a rental property already at time of application.
  • Rental Assistance--Participants do not need to have property secured at time of application.


Applications only received during open application periods. Please check this page or contact the Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager to see when we are receiving applications.

    • Assessment of housing barriers and needs
    • Development of an action plan for locating housing
    • Outreach and negotiation with local landlords
    • Tenant counseling
  • Financial Assistance
    • Security Deposit
    • Portion of Monthly Rent
  • Housing Stabilization
    • Case management, which includes a budgeting and savings plan and a realistic plan to achieve self-sufficiency
    • On-going support of tenant/landlord relationship
    • Credit repair services
    • Employment assistance
    • Financial education
    • Linking with local, federal and state resources
