Rapid Re-Housing is part of a federally-funded effort to reduce homelessness across the nation. Through financial assistance and supportive services, Rapid Re-Housing assists homeless families and individuals in becoming stably housed and financially self-sufficient.
Literally homeless* at the time of intake.
Willing to engage in regular case management.
Resident(s) of Sonoma County.
Rapid Re-Housing offers financial assistance to those needing a one-time security deposit or short to medium-term rental assistance (which may also include a security deposit):
One-Time Security Deposit
Participants must have located a rental property already at time of application.
Participants do not need to have property secured at time of application.
Applications only received during open application periods. Please check this page or contact the Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager to see when we are receiving applications.
Housing Search and Placement
Assessment of housing barriers and needs
Development of an action plan for locating housing
Outreach and negotiation with local landlords
Portion of Monthly Rent
Case management, which includes a budgeting and savings plan and a realistic plan to achieve self-sufficiency
On-going support of tenant/landlord relationship
Credit repair services
Linking with local, federal and state resources
